Denver’s James Collects #SummitMTN Player of the Week Award
ELMHURST, Ill. – Denver's Yannik James was named Summit League Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his performance March 15-21.
YANNIK JAMES, DENVER
Jr. // St. Georges, Grenada
- Earned second career Player of the Week award, both coming in a three-week span
- Went 2-0 in singles decisions and scored a pair of doubles victories against players from nationally-ranked teams
- Won 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 5 singles over Alex Van Cott of No. 28 Tulane
- Victorious in straight sets (3 and 4) at No. 5 position against Kelvin Lam of No. 49 Harvard to help lead Pioneers to 4-3 dual win
- Teamed with Jesse Ruder-Hook at No. 3 doubles for wins over Tulane (6-4) and Harvard (6-3)
