NDSU’s Moreland, USD’s Frain Collect #SummitSB Weekly Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – North Dakota State shortstop Logan Moreland was named Summit League Player of the Week while South Dakota pitcher Madison Frain earned the league's Pitcher of the Week award for their performances during the week of April 4-10.

  • Named Summit League Player of the Week for the second straight week
  • Hit .556 (5-for-9) in NDSU's sweep at Fort Wayne over the weekend
  • Went yard twice in the series finale Sunday and now has six home runs in the past seven games
  • Drove in seven runs and scored seven runs in the three-game series
  • Tallied a .545 on-base percentage and slugged 1.222 for the week

  • Earned her second career Summit League Pitcher of the Week award and first since her freshman season in 2013
  • Appeared in all three of South Dakota's wins (two starts) vs. IUPUI over the weekend
  • Pitched two complete games, including one shutout, picking up two wins while allowing only one earned run
  • Collected a four-out save in game two of the series to preserve a 10-9 victory
  • Struck out a season-high 10 batters in a 2-0 shutout Sunday
  • For the week, she posted a 0.46 ERA while striking out 15 in 15.1 innings of work
