USD’s Burns Named #SummitWTN Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota's Ellie Burns was named Summit League Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performance April 12-18.

  • Earned first career Player of the Week honor
  • Went 3-0, including a pair of straight-set victories, against a trio of league foes at No. 1 singles
  • Rallied to defeat Omaha's Michelle Lo (5-7, 6-3, 6-1)
  • Scored straight-set wins over IUPUI's Valeriia Lavrenchuk (1 and 3) and South Dakota State's Iasmin Rosa (4 and 3) to help Coyotes to league victories
