USD’s Arens Captures #SummitWBB Player of the Week Award
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota sophomore guard Allison Arens was named The Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances Dec. 26 – Jan. 1.

- Earned her second Player of the Week selection this season
- Tallied her first career double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Denver
- Connected on 18 free throws vs. the Pioneers, which set a new Coyote record and tied the all-time Summit League mark
- Led the way with a game-high 24 points in the victory over in-state rival South Dakota State
- Added six assists, five rebounds and hit four free throws in the final 30 seconds to help seal the win over SDSU
- USD has won a school record 21 consecutive home games, which is also the seventh-longest active streak in the nation
- For the week, averaged 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and committed just three turnovers (2.7 assist/turnover ratio), while adding a pair of blocks and one steal
