DU’s Roas and Robrock Claim Swimmer of the Week Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – Denver's Johanna Roas was named Summit League Women's Swimmer of the Week while teammate Kyle Robrock earned Men's Swimmer of the Week award for their performances during the week of Jan. 23-29.

JOHANNA ROAS, DENVER
Sr. // Munich, Germany

  • Collected her first Summit League Swimmer of the Week award of the season and sixth of her career
  • Recorded four first-place finishes in Denver's dual meet victory over Air Force
  • Won the 50 fly (24.68), 200 free (1:47.36)
  • Set a El Pomar pool record in the 200 free (1:47.36), after the NCAA altitude adjustment she broke a school record and league record and earned an NCAA B standard

  • Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week for the first time this season and third time of his career
  • In dual meet win over Air Force, collected four first-place finishes (two individual, two relay)
  • Finished with a 21.64 in the 50 fly and a 19.93 in the 50 free
  • Earned his fourth 50 free win this season
  • Swam the leadoff leg of the 200 free relay to set the El Pomar pool record at 19.91 for a 50 free
