South Dakota State Sweeps Weekly #SummitWSOC Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State forward Nicole Hatcher nabbed The Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor for the third time this season, while teammate defender Annie Williams earned the Defensive nod.

Hatcher garnered four points on a goal and two assists in South Dakota State's 3-0 league win over Western Illinois. Williams scored the game-winner and supported a backline that posted its second consecutive shutout.   

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

  • Earned her fifth career Player of the Week honor and third of this season. Five career POW honors is tied for fourth in Summit League history, while three season POW nods is tied for third.
  • Scored her sixth goal of the season and added two assists in 3-0 league win over Western Illinois
  • Broke South Dakota State's career assists record with 22 helpers (tied for seventh in Summit League career assists)
  • Holds the number four spot in program history and is tied for 19th in Summit League history with 58 career points
