SDSU’s Morse, NDSU’s Sertic Earn #SummitSB Weekly Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State catcher Brittney Morse was named Summit League Player of the Week while North Dakota State pitcher Jacquelyn Sertic earned the league's Pitcher of the Week award for their performances during the week of Feb. 9-12. The awards mark the initial weekly honors for this season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BRITTNEY MORSE, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
Jr. // C/UT // Houston, Texas

  • Named Summit League Player of the Week for the first time in her career
  • Hit two home runs in win over Toledo
  • Drove in six runs with four homers in the five games while scoring five times
  • Recorded .400 (6-for-15) average over the weekend with a .471 on-base percentage and 1.200 slugging percentage
  • Currently leads the league in home runs (4) and RBI (6)

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
JACQUELYN SERTIC, NORTH DAKOTA STATE
Jr. // RHP // Sparks, Nev.

  • Earned her first Summit League Pitcher of the Week award and seventh in her career
  • Pitched her third career no-hitter in 1-0 win over Ole Miss
  • Had 11 strikeouts in win over Rebels, seventh game with double figure strikeouts
  • Gave up 15 base-hits in 26.1 innings and tallied 32 strikeouts over the weekend
  • Currently leads the league in ERA (1.59) and strikeouts (32)
