South Dakota State’s Romero Tabbed #SummitWTN Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Laura Romero was named Summit League Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performance Feb. 14-20.

LAURA ROMERO, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
Fr. // Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

  • Earned her first career Player of the Week honor
  • Went 2-0 in singles matches, competing at No. 5 and 6 positions, for her first two career victories
  • Scored a straight-set (1 and 4) win over Montana's Anabel Carbo at No. 5 in a 5-2 team win
  • Rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 triumph against North Dakota's Alysse Nakasato at No. 6
