WIU’s Clemens Named #SummitWBB Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – Western Illinois junior guard Emily Clemens was named The Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her performances Jan. 30 – Feb. 5.

  • Earned her fourth Player of the Week award this season 
  • Scored 21 points with four assists and no turnovers in a win at Oral Roberts
  • Followed that up with 20 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and six steals in the win vs. Omaha
  • For the week, averaged 20.5 points, 6.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game
  • Shot 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from the field and 86.4 percent (19-of-22) at the free throw line
  • The two wins moved the Fighting Leathernecks into a tie for second place
