USD’s Fields, IUPUI’s Finch Earn #SummitSB Weekly Honors
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota infielder Kayla Fields was named Summit League Player of the Week while IUPUI's pitcher Nickole Finch earned the league's Pitcher of the Week award for their performances during the week of March 20-26.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Named Summit League Player of the Week for the first time in her career and season
- Recorded .600 (6-for-10) average over the weekend with a .667 on-base percentage and 1.300 slugging percentage
- Drove in six runs with one double and two home runs in three games while scoring five times
- Went 3-for-3 with a home run, scoring two runs in opening game of the series against Western Illinois
- Had a 1.000 fielding percentage with 11 putouts

- Surrendered 14 base-hits in 17 innings, finished the weekend with an ERA of 1.24 and tallied 12 strikeouts
- Had a season-low zero walks in her first start against the Jackrabbits.
- Tied first in the conference for wins (9)
