The Summit League Announces Week Nine men’s soccer awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the third straight week there has been a sweep of The Summit League men's soccer weekly awards. Purdue Fort Wayne freshman captured both honors as Alex Frank was named the offensive player of the week and Tor Erik Larsen was named the defensive player of the week.
Frank earns his first career offensive player of the week award after scoring the only goal in the Mastodons' first win against the University of Cincinnati. Larsen continued his stellar season with his eighth win of the year and third shutout while stopping four shots against the Bearcats.
Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Frank, Purdue Fort Wayne

• Scored the lone goal in the Mastodons' 1-0 win against Cincinnati
• This was Purdue Fort Wayne's first-ever win against the Bearcats
• His goal was the fourth of his career
• This is his first career offensive player of the week award

• Shutout the University of Cincinnati to earn his third shutout of the season
• Stopped four shots in the Mastodons' victory to increase the Summit League lead to 79 saves on the year
• Helped Purdue Fort Wayne earn their first-ever win against Cincinnati in four tries
