The Summit League Announces the seventh Swimming and Diving Weekly Awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Week seven of the swimming and diving season is complete and this week's Summit League weekly award winners come from the University of South Dakota and Eastern Illinois.
South Dakota swept the female awards with junior Katie Coleman earning swimmer of the week and senior Sarah Schank being named the diver of the week. The Coyotes were also represented on the men's side with Hudson Wilkerson earning his second diver of the week honor while Eastern Illinois' Ivan Escott was named the swimmer of the week.
Female Swimmer of the Week
Katie Coleman, South Dakota
Jr. | Lac La Biche, Alberta
- Claimed her second career swimmer of the week award and first of the season
- Set a USD record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.12. The record also is the top mark in the Summit League
- She swam the third fastest time in program history in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.51. The mark ranks second in the Summit League this season

Female Diver of the Week
Sarah Schank, South Dakota
Sr. | Cottage Grove, Minn.
- Earned her sixth career diver of the week honor and first this season
- Posted a season-high in the 3M event to move to third in the Summit this season
- Scored a 279.60 in the 3-meter dive and earned a score of 234.85 in the 1-meter at the Hawkeye Invitational that featured seven Power-5 opponents

Male Swimmer of the Week
Ivan Escott, Eastern Illinois
So. | Gilbertsville, Pa.
- Broke the oldest Eastern Illinois record during the preliminaries for the 100-Fly with a time of 50.70. The previous record was 50.86 and had stood since 1982
- Earned two, top 10 finishes in the 400-yard medley relay and the 200-yard medley relay
- Earned his first career swimmer of the week accolade

Male Diver of the Week
Hudson Wilkerson, South Dakota
Fr. | Powell, Wyo.
- Earned his second career diver of the week honor and second this season
- Scored a 284.10 in the 1-meter dive and a 261.40 in the 3-meter dive
- Season-high in 1-meter event moves Hudson to second in the Summit League and was the fourth highest point total in Coyote school history
