North Dakota’s Klabo earns second Summit League Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On the last weekend of 2018 we began Summit League play and had stellar performances across the League. As we leave 2018 and head into 2019, North Dakota's Lexi Klabo earns the final Summit League Player of the Week honor of 2018 after an impressive outing in the Fighting Hawks first-ever Summit League game.

Klabo had an impressive all-around outing in her first career Summit League contest. She led the Fighting Hawks in scoring, rebounding, blocks and finished one assist shy of tying for the team lead in that category as well.

Player of the Week

Lexi Klabo

• Klabo led The Summit League in scoring average after the first weekend with 21-points while grabbing eight rebounds, blocking three shots and dishing out three assists

• She was a perfect 7-for-7 at the free throw line while shooting 46 percent from the field

• Klabo is the current NCAA leader for made free throws with 94

• Led the Fighting Hawks to their first win in Summit League action

• Klabo becomes the first repeat Summit League Player of the Week honoree of the season

• This is Klabo's second career Summit League Player of the Week honor and third overall honor. She was named the Big Sky Player of the Week on Nov. 20 of last year
