South Dakota’s Rogers, SDSU’s Hope Earn Weekly #SummitSB Awards
ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota catcher Jessica Rogers garnered her second-consecutive (third of the season) Summit League Player of the Week award, while South Dakota State pitcher Madison Hope secured the league's Pitcher of the Week title for the second time this season. The two earned the awards for their performances during the week of March 19 – 25.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JESSICA ROGERS, SOUTH DAKOTA
Jr. // C // Lincoln, Neb.
- Earned her third-career Player of the Week accolade, third this season, and second-consecutive
- Hit .417 with an on-base percentage of .462 and a slugging percentage of 1.167
- Hit three home runs, including a grand slam, and recorded 11 RBI to help South Dakota sweep league-foe Omaha
- Threw out 3-of-4 would-be base stealers against Omaha, who leads the league in that category
- Broke a 5-5 tie against the Mavericks in game one of the series with a grand slam
- Leads the league in home runs (eight) and RBI (28)

- Collected her second-career Pitcher of the Week honor, second this season
- Compiled a 2-0 record with a save over Iowa and UMKC
- Struck out 10 in 16.0 innings pitched with a 1.75 ERA
- Struck out five in the first game at Iowa, earning a complete game 4-1 victory to help the Jackrabbits pick up their second Power 5 win of the season
- Pitched two innings of shutout ball for a save in the second game against the Hawkeyes, securing SDSU's first doubleheader sweep of a Power 5 opponent at the DI level
- For the week, the Jacks won five-straight contests
