South Dakota’s Rogers, NDSU’s Sertic Claim #SummitSB Weekly Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota catcher Jessica Rogers earned Summit League Player of the Week, while North Dakota State pitcher Jacquelyn Sertic garnered the league's Pitcher of the Week award for their performances during the week of Feb. 26 – March 4.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JESSICA ROGERS, SOUTH DAKOTA
Jr. // C // Lincoln, Neb.

  • Earned her first-career Player of the Week accolade
  • Went 9-for-11 with two home runs, a triple, six RBI and six runs scored over the final four games of the Grand Canyon Classic
  • Helped lead the Coyotes to three wins at the event
  • Notched her 100th career hit during the tournament
  • Had two three-hit games
  • Hit a solo home run against Valpo and added a three-run shot in the win against Princeton
  • Hit .692 with an on-base percentage of .714 and a slugging percentage of 1.308

  • Compiled a 3-0 record with a 1.29 ERA during the week
  • Struck out 16 in 16.1 innings pitched
  • Picked up wins over Duke, Kent State and Lehigh with 6.86 K/7
