The Summit League Announces the 10th Swimming and Diving Weekly Awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The tenth edition of The Summit League swimming and diving weekly awards is here each award winner finished multiple first-place finishes in their respective events. South Dakota had three award winners, Sabrina Sabadeanu, Sarah Schank and Hudson Wilkerson while Eastern Illinois had one winner, Scott House.
Female Diver of the Week
Sarah Schank, South Dakota
Sr. | Cottage Grove, Minn.
• She set a new personal best in the 3-meter dive while also earning an NCAA Zone qualifying score
• Won four diving events in the Coyotes meets. Her best 1-meter score was 254.70 while her best 3-meter score was 297.60
• This is her seventh career diver of the week honor and second of the season
Also nominated: Annika Clinton, Omaha; Zora Opalka, Denver
Male Diver of the Week
Hudson Wilkerson, South Dakota
Fr. | Powell, Wyo.
• Set new personal bests in the 1-meter and 3-meters dives while also setting NCAA Zone qualifying marks
• Won four diving events in the Coyotes meets. His best 1-meter dive score was 300.90 and his best 3-meter dive score was 333.45. Both scores are tops in The Summit League this season
• This is his third career diver of the week honor and third of the season
Male Swimmer of the Week
Scott House, Eastern Illinois
So. | Elizabethtown, Ky.
• House earned a combined seven first-place finishes in meets against Evansville and Western Illinois
• He swam in the same four races at both events, posting top times of: 21:43 in the 50-yard freestyle, 47.45 in the 100-yard freestyle, 21.09 (1:36.82) in the 200-yard medley and 20.88 (1:26.77) in the 200-yard freestyle relay
• This is his second career swimmer of the week honor and second this season
Also nominated: Jake Leichner, South Dakota; Chance McQuigg, Western Illinois
Female Swimmer of the Week
Sabrina Sabadeanu, South Dakota
Jr. | Commerce City, Colo.
• Sabadeanu won a total of seven events in meets against Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois
• Won the 200-yard IM (2:11.95), 200-yard backstroke (2:09.17), 50-yard backstroke (27.54), the 50-yard freestyle (25.28). 400-yard medley 58.24 (3:59.20), 200-yard medley 27.63 (1:49.28) and the 200-yard freestyle relay 24.77 (1:40.00)
• This is her fourth career Summit League Swimmer of the Week honor and second of the season
