Denver Sweeps #SummitSD Weekly Awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The first month of the #SummitSD seasons is in the books, and the Denver Pioneers continue to highlight the field as they swept the weekly awards. Senior Josie Valette earned her first-career swimmer of the week honor, while Sammy Walker captured her fifth-career diving accolade. Junior Cameron Auchinachie has quite the week for the Pioneers, as he earned his third-career swimmer honor, which is his second of the season.

• Guided team to a second-place finish at a double dual in Arizona

• Recorded first-place time of 23.35 in the 50 Free, which ranks 54^th in the country

• Also placed first in the 400 Medley Relay (3:44.63), which ranks 14^th in the country and anchored the third 200 Medley Relay record a first-place time of 1:42.12

• First career swimmer of the week award

• Placed third in the 1-meter dive with a score of 236.80

• Also earned a 3-meter dive score of 249.65, finishing fifth overall

Male Swimmer of the Week
Cameron Auchinachie, Denver
So. | Binghamton, N.Y.

• Captured two individual event wins at the two-day Arizona hosted double dual

• Earned Denver's first NCAA B Standard of the season in the 50 Free with a first-place, nation-leading time of 19.76

• Led off the 200 Free Relay with a first-place time of 1:20.44, which ranks second in the nation

• Also took second in the 10 Back (49.89) and second in the 100 Free (44.19)

• Third career swimmer of the week honor
