South Dakota State’s Larson garners weekly accolades
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State forward Tagyn Larson captured the second Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolade of her career, league officials released Monday. The senior averaged 20.5 points per game against Big East foe Marquette and Green Bay.
The Sioux Falls, S.D., native started off the week strong leading all scorers with a season-best 22 points in the Jackrabbits 65-58 loss to Marquette. She went 7-for-9 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line while chipping in a team-high six boards.
Larson followed up her season-best performance with a team-leading 19 points in South Dakota State's 60-55 victory over Green Bay. She went 6-for-9 from the field and 4-for-5 from behind the arc against Green Bay. To go along with her 19 points, Larson notched two rebounds, four assists and a game-high three blocks.
