Nationally-ranked launches earn duo weekly accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –A pair of nationally-ranked marks in the weight throw has earned South Dakota's Ethan Fenchel and North Dakota State's Maddy Nilles Summit League Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors. This is Fenchel's first weekly honor of the season, while Nilles claimed her second.
Ethan Fenchel, South Dakota
Senior | Throws
- Added eight inches to his own USD school record in the weight throw at the Nebraska Tune-Up with a mark of 68-11.75
- His distance of 68-11.75 won the event
- Now ranks 19th in the NCAA this season
