Western Illinois’ Higginbotham earns Summit League Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Western Illinois senior guard Taylor Higginbotham has been named The Summit League Women's Basketball Players of the Week.
Higginbotham helped lead her Leatherneck squad to back-to-back Summit League victories against North Dakota and North Dakota State. She scored 23-points against the Fighting Hawks before scoring a season-high 27-points against the Bison on her way to becoming Western Illinois' all-time leading scorer.

• Higginbotham averaged 25-points and eight rebounds in the Leathernecks two wins last week
• She became Western Illinois' all-time leading scorer with 1,715 career points
• Scored 23-points against North Dakota and followed that up with a season-high 27-points against North Dakota State
• She was 14-of-15 from the free throw line and shot 56 percent from the field
• This is Higginbotham's fourth career player of the week honor and second of the season
