The Summit League Announces Week Five Softball Awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State senior Julia Andersen has been named the Summit League Player of the Week, while her teammate Kendra Conrad earns pitcher of the week honors.
South Dakota State continues their impressive start to the season, improving to 19-5 on the year. Andersen and Conrad helped the Jackrabbits win a program record 10 games in-a-row, longest winning streak since 1996, and 14 of their last 15 contests. Last week Andersen hit .342 with four home runs and 14 RBIs. Conrad picked up four wins for South Dakota State. She gave up three earned runs in 20 innings of work with five assists.

• She posted four multi-hit games and posted a .342 batting average with 13 hits
• Hit two triples, four home runs and 14 RBIs with two stolen bases
• She was perfect in the field with nine putouts and one assist
• This is her first career player of the week honor

• In her four starts she posted an ERA of 1.05
• This is Conrad's first career pitcher of the week honor
