The Summit League Announces Week Four Softball Awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota junior Angel Love has been named the Summit League Player of the Week, while the Fighting Hawks Emily Rosas earns pitcher of the week honors.
The Summit League's newest member swept this week's softball awards to earn their programs first-ever softball player and pitcher of the week honors. North Dakota traveled to DeLand, Fla. and left with the Stetson Hatter Classic title. Love got it done at the plate for the Fight Hawks, posting a .529 batting average with two doubles and a home run. In the circle, Rosas earned her first career victories and only allowed two earned runs in 12.1 innings of work.

• Love posted a .529 batting average while hitting safely in all five of the Fighting Hawks games in Florida
• She picked up nine hits, two doubles, a home run and five RBIs while scoring four runs
• In 17 at-bats she only struck out once and earned and on-base percentage of .556
• This is her first career player of the week honor

• Allowed just 10 hits in 12.1 innings of work
• Posted an ERA of 1.14 with eight strikeouts
• This is Rosas' first career Summit League Pitcher of the Week honor
