Denver’s Ros, North Dakota’s Kasilingam secure weekly honors
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –Denver sophomore Mattia Ros and North Dakota senior Preethi Kasilingam take home this week's men's and women's tennis athlete of the week awards after helping their respective teams to important league victories this past weekend. This is the second honor this season for Ros and the first for Kasilingam.
Mattia Ros, Denver
Sophomore | Latisana, Italy
- Went 4-0 in competition this past weekend
- Improved his overall singles record to 12-5 and doubles to 10-5
- Had a come-from-behind victory at the top spot of the lineup against Illinois State's Igor Kolaric (3-6, 6-3, 10-7)

Preethi Kasilingam, North Dakota
Senior | Dallas, Texas
- Finished the weekend 2-0 in singles at the No. 4 spot
- Helped UND go 2-0 on the weekend and clinch a spot in the Summit League Women's Tennis Championship
- Was leading 6-5 at the No. 2 position in doubles when two-person play was called against Omaha
- Was holding a 5-3 lead at the second position when play was halted against South Dakota
