South Dakota’s Duffy takes home weekly award
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota guard Ciara Duffy notched her fourth Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week award of the season, league officials released Monday. The senior averaged 20.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg and 3.5 apg to help the Coyotes remain undefeated in league play.
Duffy led all scorers as she paced USD to an 80-36 victory over North Dakota State. She finished with 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting. In addition to her 20 points, she grabbed eight boards, handed out three assists and notched two steals.
To end the week, Duffy recorded her fifth double-double of the season in South Dakota's 83-48 win over in-state rival South Dakota State. The Rapid City, S.D., native tallied 21 points and 11 rebounds while dishing out four assists to help the Coyotes hand the Jackrabbits their worst loss in league play since 2009.
