SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State's Myah Selland earned The Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the accolade after registering top-notch performances to help South Dakota State improve to 3-0 on the season. The Jackrabbits defeated Creighton 66-47 and No. 18 Gonzaga 75-72 in overtime to remain undefeated and move into the
Associated Press Top 25 poll at No. 22.
Against the Bluejays, Selland finished with the third double-double of her career, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 boards. The junior also dished out a team-high four assists in the victory.
Against Gonzaga, Selland finished with a team-best 18 points to go along with five rebounds. Additionally, she added two assists to her stat sheet, one of which set up Lindsey Theuninck for a 3-point in the closing seconds to clinch the overtime win. The victory was the second over a ranked opponent for the Jacks in the early going.
