SDSU's Lenox and Glanzer, USD's Eamiguel Capture Latest #SummitSB Weekly Honors
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A duo of Summit League softball players earned the first weekly honors of their respective careers, while one captured her second-career accolade on Monday. South Dakota State pitcher Grace Glanzer claimed the pitcher of the week accolade, while South Dakota infielder Lauren Eamiguel and Jackrabbits' catcher Kelsey Lenox shared the player of the week award.
Glanzer improved to 7-2 on the season as the Sioux Falls, S.D., native picked up a victory in all four of SDSU's wins at the Razorback Invitational. Glanzer struck out at least five batters in all three of her starts and recorded two strikeouts in three innings of relief in Sunday's win over Montana. Glanzer is tied for the most wins this season and leads the league with 42 strikeouts.
Eamiguel recorded four multi-hit games and totaled 10 hits in five games in leading the Coyotes to a 4-1 weekend at the Madeira Beach Invitational. She hit .714 with six RBI on 10 hits, including a walk-off single in an 8-0 five-inning win against Merrimack.
Lenox went 7-for-12 at the plate (.583) with three home runs and eight RBI in the Jacks' five games last week at the Razorback Invitational, including a four-RBI showing against Marist. She also drove in the go-ahead runs against Montana with a two-run home run and walked five times.
