SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State junior Myah Selland earned her fourth Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week award of the season after two outstanding performances to open the Jackrabbit's league season, league officials announced Monday.
Selland averaged 22.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 4.5 assists per game during South Dakota State's weekend sweep of Western Illinois to mark a 2-0 start to league play. She finished the weekend shooting 53.3 percent from the field and 86.7 percent from the charity stripe.
In the Jacks' league opener, she led all scorers with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks. In game two, Selland registered her fifth double-double of the season, scoring a career-high 29 points to go with 11 rebounds. She also finished with six assists and four steals in the contest and went a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line.
