SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City guard Naomie Alnatas earned her first career Summit League Women's Basketball Player of the Week accolade, league officials announced Monday. Alnatas averaged 30.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.5 apg and 1.5 spg and posted the league’s second-highest single-game scoring total with 45 in the Roos' overtime win in game one against Oral Roberts.
In the 101-93 victory, Alnatas bested her previous career-high of 23 points by halftime after dropping 24 points on 10-for-12 shooting. Her first-half point total tied the program record for most points in a single half. She would finish with 45 points, which was the second-highest output in program history and the first 40-point game by a Roo since 2011.
The junior followed up her career night by notching 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting in the first half of the second game against Oral Roberts. She finished with 16 points to go along with three rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals in the Roos' 71-67 overtime loss to the Golden Eagles.
