SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver’s Uju Ezeudu secured this week’s TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade, league officials released Monday. Ezeudu helped pace the Pioneers’ scoring efforts en route to a 2-1 finish on the week.
Against Colorado Christian, Ezeudu had 14 points on 4-for-8 shooting and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. She added five rebounds, two rebounds, two steals and a pair of blocks for a well-rounded stat line.
In Denver’s four-overtime 100-94 win over Butler, Ezeudu led the Pioneers with a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. She was 9-for-14 from the field and recorded eight assists and four blocks in 49 minutes of play.
She followed up that performance notching her second-straight double-double and third of the season with 22 points on 9-for-18 shooting against Purdue. She grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out four assists and recorded a block and a steal in the 101-68 loss.
Ezeudu finished the week averaging 19.67 ppg, 8.67 rpg, 5.66 apg, and 2.3 bpg.
