SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State’s Myah Selland has earned her sixth Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award of the season, league officials announced Monday. Selland averaged 24 ppg, 7.5 rpg and 5.5 apg as she led the Jackrabbits to a pair of wins over Oral Roberts.
In South Dakota State’s first win over Oral Roberts, she recorded 18 points on a 70 percent (7-for-10) shooting performance from the floor to go along with seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. In the second meeting with the Golden Eagles, Selland tallied a career-best 30 points while adding eight rebounds and six assists.
On the weekend, she shot 69.2 percent (18-for-26) from the field, including 50 percent (2-for-4) from long distance and 83.3 percent (10-for-12) from the free throw line. For her efforts, she was also named College Sports Madness National Mid-Major Player of the Week.
