SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver midfielder Natalie Beckman earned her third-straight Summit League Offensive Player of the Week award, while South Dakota State’s Gabby Vivier-Hannay was named the Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
Beckman earned her third-straight weekly accolade and the fourth of her career after key performances in both games for the Pioneers against South Dakota. In game one, the reigning
Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week assisted on the equalizer and notched a golden goal from the corner in the final minute of extra time. In game two, the Denver, Colo., native assisted on the lone goal in Denver’s 1-0 win over the Coyotes.
Vivier-Hannay picked up her first-career defensive honor after helping South Dakota State tally two clean sheets against the Oral Roberts, both 2-0 scores. Additionally, Vivier-Hannay and the Jackrabbit defense held ORU with one shot on goal in the first game and three shots on goal in game two.
