Limback, Pickar run away with #SummitVB weekly honors

Omaha’s Limback, South Dakota State’s Pickar claim player of the week accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the second-consecutive week, Omaha’s Sadie Limback and South Dakota State’s Tatum Pickar take home the Summit League Volleyball Player of the Week honors. It is the fourth-straight honor for Limback and the second of Pickar’s career.
 
Limback once again helped pace the Mavericks to a series sweep as Omaha took down North Dakota State in five sets during both meetings. In the series-opening victory, Limback tied her career-high set earlier this season with 25 kills on a .533 hitting percentage. She finished the match with four total blocks and two digs.
 
To claim the series sweep, Limback hammered down a team-high 21 kills while hitting .429 on the match. She also added three assisted blocks and four digs to her stat line. The junior right-side hitter totaled 46 kills on the weekend averaging 4.6 kills per set and hit .483 in two matches.
 
Pickar helped pace the Jackrabbits in securing their fifth victory of league play, the most league wins for SDSU since the 2012 season. She led the defense against North Dakota to secure a 3-0 series-opening win finishing with 26 digs and three service aces. Her 26 digs tied a league-best dig performance in a three-set match this season.
 
In the 3-2 victory to claim the series, Pickar led the back row defense finishing with 23 digs and three aces. She totaled 49 digs in two matches against the Fighting Hawks, averaging 6.125 digs per set on the weekend.
