SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State’s senior forward/midfielder Eden Brooker was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while South Dakota redshirt junior goalkeeper Emma Harkleroad was named the Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
Brooker led the Jackrabbits to a series sweep over North Dakota, scoring the game-winning goal in each match. In game one, Brooker notched the game-winning goal in the 103
rd minute of double overtime for the 1-0 victory.
In game two, the Santa Rosa, Calif., native recorded her second game-winner of the weekend in the 46
th minute of the second half as SDSU posted a 2-0 triumph over UND. In all, Brooker tallied 12 shots with five on goal and fired a career-best eight shots in game one.
Harkleroad and the Coyotes recorded two back-to-back shutout wins against North Dakota State. The Geneva, Ill., native captured her second shutout of the season in game one stopping four shots on goal and earned her third shutout of the season posting five saves to give her two-straight shutout victories.
