WIU’s Andrews, Omaha’s Reedtz collect TicketSmarter #SummitWSOC weekly honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Western Illinois senior forward Amy Andrews and Omaha sophomore goalkeeper Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen had impressive performances last weekend and were named the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Players of the Week, league officials announced on Monday. Andrews tallied two goals and had eight shots on goal in two victories, while Olesen posted a shutout against a Power Five opponent.
 
Andrews began her week against host Valparaiso, where the senior forward finished with four shots in 82 minutes of action, which were all on goal, in a 2-1 win. In WIU's 4-1 victory over IUPUI, the Birmingham, England native finished with a brace, tied the match in the 27th-minute and scored a crucial goal to double the lead in the 77th-minute. All four of Andrews' shots in the Leathernecks' fifth-straight win were on target.
 
Reedtz guided the Mavericks to two double-overtime time draws and opened the week with her fourth shutout on the season against Minnesota, resulting in a scoreless draw. The Stensballe, Denmark native made six saves against the Gophers and faced 18 total shots. In the second match of the weekend, Reedtz recorded a career-high eight saves in Omaha's 1-1 draw against Missouri State.
