SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver junior Uju Ezeudu claimed this week’s TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor, league officials release Monday. Ezeudu averaged 29.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg in a pair of road contests over the weekend.
Against North Dakota State, Ezeudu finished one point shy of her career-high with 31 points on 13-for-20 shooting. She turned in 24 of her 31 points during a second-half comeback attempt that fell short. She also finished with eight rebounds, a block and a steal in a season-high 34 minutes.
At North Dakota, Ezeudu finished with her fifth double-double of the season and 12
th of her career. She passed 900 points in her third year as a Pio with 28 points to go along with 11 rebounds. She also dished out three assists and blocked a pair of shots in the 80-75 loss to the Fighting Hawks.
On the week Ezeudu averaged 29.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.5 apg and 1.5 bpg while shooting 51 percent from the field.
