Pioneers’ Ezeudu takes home TicketSmarter #SummitWBB weekly accolade

Denver’s Ezeudu collects her second weekly honor of the season

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.Denver junior Uju Ezeudu claimed this week’s TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor, league officials release Monday. Ezeudu averaged 29.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg in a pair of road contests over the weekend.
 
Against North Dakota State, Ezeudu finished one point shy of her career-high with 31 points on 13-for-20 shooting. She turned in 24 of her 31 points during a second-half comeback attempt that fell short. She also finished with eight rebounds, a block and a steal in a season-high 34 minutes.
 
At North Dakota, Ezeudu finished with her fifth double-double of the season and 12th of her career. She passed 900 points in her third year as a Pio with 28 points to go along with 11 rebounds. She also dished out three assists and blocked a pair of shots in the 80-75 loss to the Fighting Hawks.
 
On the week Ezeudu averaged 29.5 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1.5 apg and 1.5 bpg while shooting 51 percent from the field.
