SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota’s Kacie Borowicz secured her second consecutive TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award, league officials announced Monday. She averaged 24.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 4.5 apg and 2.5 spg en route to helping North Dakota push its winning streak to six games with back-to-back league wins.
In North Dakota’s 53-34 win over Oral Roberts, Borowicz led all scorers with 21 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out a pair of assists and secured two steals. In the victory, she went 2-for-2 from behind the three-point line and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe.
Against Kansas City, Borowicz once again paced the scoring efforts finishing with 27 points, 12 of which came from behind the free-throw line where she did not miss. She also recorded seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in the Fighting Hawks’ 78-66 win over the Roos.
Borowicz leads the league in scoring with 18.8 ppg and moved to second in the NCAA for free-throw percentage with 96.6 percent. She is 20-for-20 from the charity stripe in North Dakota’s last four games.
