Fourth-seeded Oral Roberts outlasts fifth-seeded NDSU, advances to semifinals

DENVER, Colo. – In the first match of the 2022 Summit League Women’s Soccer Championship, No. 4 seed Oral Roberts defeated No. 5 North Dakota State, 2-1, in double overtime on Friday afternoon at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium in Denver, Colo.

In the first half, Oral Roberts threatened to take an early lead in the 10th minute off a shot by Julia Thasaphong, but North Dakota State junior goalkeeper Abby Wilkinson came up with the save, keeping the match scoreless.

NDSU countered with an opportunity of its own in the 14th minute, but ORU junior goalkeeper Louisa Ramsauer made a diving save to her right and the game remained tied at zero.
