SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City’s Naomie Alnatas notched her second consecutive TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award, league officials released Monday. She surpassed the 20-point mark three times en route to a 3-0 week and notched her first career triple-double.
In the Roos’ first meeting with Western Illinois, Alnatas dropped 22 points and dished out six assists to help KC to a 74-66 victory. She shot 57 percent (8-for-14) from the field and 57 percent (4-for-7) from beyond the arc against the Leathernecks.
Against St. Thomas, Alnatas shot 55 percent (11-for-20) from the field to post her second 30-point performance of the year. She also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds in the 62-57 win. Alnatas accounted for nearly half of her team’s points against the Tommies.
In Kansas City’s second meeting with the Leathernecks, Alnatas notched her first career triple-double finishing with 29 points, a career-high 11 assists and 11 rebounds. Alnatas’ triple-double played a huge part as the Roos rallied for an 87-85 overtime victory.
Over three games, she averaged 27.0 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 5.6 apg and 1.3 spg. She shot 53.6 percent from the field and shot at or above 50 percent from the three-point line in all three games. Her triple-double was the first by a Summit League women’s basketball player since 2017-18.
