SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Western Illinois forward Amy Andrews and Denver goalkeeper Nerea Arrazola were named the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Peak Performers of the Week following the opening weekend of the 2022 season. Andrews collected the offensive accolade, while Arrazola earned the defensive honor, league officials announced Monday.
Andrews was the only Summit League player to post a multiple-goal match during the opening weekend, scoring twice in a 2-2 draw with Eastern Michigan. Both of her goals evened the match against the Eagles with her first coming in the seventh minute and second in the 50
th minute.
Andrews' two goals moved her into the Summit League's top 10 list for career goals with 28.
Arrazola did some climbing in the record books as well, posting a pair of shutouts during the opening weekend to push her career total to 22. With that total, she moved into the Summit League's top five all-time in the category where she now sits fourth alone.
Arrazola and the DU defense did not allow a first half shot in victories over San Diego (1-0) and Weber State (2-0), yielding only six total in 180 minutes. The Issaquah, Wash., native made three second-half saves in Sunday's victory over the Wildcats.
This marks the third consecutive campaign that Arrazola earned the first weekly defensive accolade of the season.

- This is the third career Summit League weekly accolade for Arrazola
