DU’s Feller, NDSU’s Heely land latest TicketSmarter #SummitWSOC weekly accolades

Pioneers' Feller, Bison’s Heely garner offensive and defensive peak performer weekly awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver's Sami Feller and North Dakota State's Ashleigh Heely were named the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Peak Performers of the Week. Feller collected the offensive honor, while Heely earned the defensive award, league officials announced Monday.
 
Feller shined on the road against Colorado State, scoring both Pioneer goals in a 2-1 victory, including the game-winner in the final minute. Feller opened the scoring in the fifth minute, which marked the earliest goal of the season for the Pioneers.
 
With the match tied 1-1 in the final minute of regulation, the Grand Junction, Colo., native scored the fourth-latest game winning regulation goal in Denver's Division I history (89 minutes, 19 seconds). Feller opened the week against San José State and posted two shots in 84 minutes of action in a 1-1 draw.
 
Heely anchored a back line that earned two shutout performances for the Bison. The Torrance, Calif., native played all 90 minutes in both 1-0 home wins against Green Bay and Drake. Heely's efforts helped NDSU to their third and fourth shutouts of the season.
