#SummitWSOC Weekly Notebook: No. 4

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Thomas is off to an impressive start after three weeks of non-conference play. The Tommies have the second-best record in the league at 3-1-1 after winning only matches all of last season. UST will look to remain in the top of the standings when they face Marquette Thursday at home.

South Dakota State continues to remain at the top of the standings as the Jackrabbits have not lost a regulation match and are 4-0-2 overall. Although SDSU has been splitting time at the goalkeeper spot, Jocelyn Tanner is tied for 21st in the nation with .333 goals against average.

Oral Roberts, who is third in the league standings, ranks first in the league in shots on goal per match (10.17), total goals (13) and scoring offense (2.17). First-year head coach Austin Risenhoover and the Golden Eagles are off to a 3-2-1 start and will host three straight matches beginning with Arkansas – Pine Bluff.

Kansas City will remain on the road when they face Kansas and Missouri State.

Despite out shooting Northern Colorado 14-12, the Bears prevailed with an early goal to defeat the Mavericks, 1-0 ... Mia Reedtz made four saves against UNC, while Emilie Erland, Jordyn West and Regan Zimmers all had one shot on goal ... Zimmers is tied for ninth in the league averaging 1.83 shots per match and leads Omaha with 11 total shots on the season ... Reedtz, the 2020 Summit League Goalkeeper of the Year, is third in the league with a 0.96 goals against average and will look to stop Minnesota in their next match.

St. Thomas picked up a 3-0 win over Northern Iowa as the Tommies equaled their Division I single-game high for goals ... UST has allowed just one goal in regulation time over their past seven matches dating back to last season ... Alex Balfour scored her first Division I goal against the Panthers in the 28th minute of the match ... Annie Bantner played the full 90-minute match in goal against Idaho, making one save on seven shots faced ... Bantner made five saves against the Panthers to record her third shutout of the season -- a total that ranks second in the league.

Senior forward Cece Limongi, the #SummitWSOC Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, scored the Jackrabbits’ first two goals and Maya Hansen added another in SDSU’s 3-0 victory against Northern Iowa ... Hansen is now up to a team-high four goals and a league-high five assists this season while she leads the league with 13 points ... SDSU outshot Drake 22-3 in a 1-1 draw, while Reagan Anderson tied the match in the 53rd minute and now has career-high two goals on the season ... South Dakota State improved on its unbeaten streak during regular season play at Fishback Soccer Park extending the streak to 34.
