SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Western Illinois guard Anna Deets was named the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week, League officials announced Monday. Deets averaged 29.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg and 1.0 spg while shooting 53.3 percent from the floor to help Western Illinois to a 1-1 week.
 
In a tough four-point home loss to Oral Roberts, Deets scored a then career-high 24 points on 7-for-13 shooting and pulled down 11 rebounds for her second double-double in the last three games. She went 8-for-9 from the free throw line and notched a steal as well against the Golden Eagles.
 
Deets carried over that momentum into Saturday's game against Kansas City to help propel Western Illinois to a 78-68 victory. As a squad, the Leathernecks opened the game on a 13-2 run with Deets recording eight during that stretch, including a pair of 3-pointers.
 
Deets finished the game with a career-best 35 points that included a season-high six 3-pointers and an 11-for-11 effort from the charity stripe. She also pulled down seven rebounds and stole the ball once in the win.
