SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The field is set for the 2023 Summit League Women's Soccer Championship as the six-team, single-elimination tournament will feature two quarterfinal matches on Friday, Oct. 27, and two semifinal contests on Sunday, Oct. 29 with the championship game being played on Saturday, Nov. 4.

South Dakota State outscored its opponents 36-14 during the regular season and those 14 goals are the fewest allowed by a Summit League team entering the tournament ... Senior goalkeeper Jocelyn Tanner was a big reason for that as she owned the top two mark in goals against average at .842 ... Tanner enters the league tournament with the fewest goals allowed among all league goalies with 13 ... Avery Murdzek ranks first among Jackrabbit players in total goals (6) and points (15) ... Newcomer Jadenn Carrillo leads the team with a trio of game-winning goal and her five goals sits tied for second on the team ... The Jacks have made 11 consecutive appearances in the tournament and won five of the last nine tournament titles.

The Coyotes won three league matches in back-to-back seasons and improved its win total by three as they won four matches last season ... Senior goalkeeper Caroline Lewis started all 17 matches for the Coyotes, collecting seven wins, five shutouts and the second-most saves in league play with 40 ... She also boasts a .769 save percentage in league action and the second-best goals against average in league play at 1.520 ... Senior forward Ashby Johnston leads the team with three goals in league action, while Johnston and Taylor Ravelo’s are tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals.
