NDSU’s Hinze, Boling sweep #SummitVB weekly awards

Bison’s Hinze, Boling capture peak performer of the week accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.North Dakota State senior outside hitter Ali Hinze and junior middle blocker Alexis Boling swept the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Volleyball Peak Performers of the Week, respectively, league officials announced on Tuesday.
 
Hinze helped NDSU extend its season-best win streak to five matches where she totaled a team-best 34 kills and averaged 4.86 kills per set. The Maple Grove, Minn., native tallied a .394 hitting percentage and contributed a team-best 28 digs (4.00 per set) on the defensive side of the ball.
 
In a road sweep against Kansas City, Hinze posted a match-high 18 digs to go along with 17 kills. The senior notched a match-high 17 kills to go along with 10 digs in a four-set win over Omaha. Furthermore, Hinze added eight blocks and two service aces to her stat line.
 
Boling notched a career-high 10 total blocks to go along with 11 kills in a 3-1 triumph over Omaha, good enough for 1.43 blocks per set. The Waukesha, Wis., native contributed seven digs (1.00 per set) throughout the week. She added 22 kills, including 11 against Kansas City.

  • Contributed seven digs (1.00 per set) and added 22 kills (3.14 per set) on the offensive side
  • Notched a career-high 10 total blocks to go along with 11 kills in a four-set triumph over Omaha
