SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakot State sophomore Brooklyn Meyer earned the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor, League officials announced Monday. The weekly accolade is the first of Meyer’s career.
Meyer opened her week by registering her third straight double-double with this one coming against top-ranked South Carolina. The Larchwood, Iowa native scored a career-high 19 points to go with 10 rebounds. She also added two steals and an assist against the Gamecock.
In the Jackrabbits’ return home, Meyer established another career-high in scoring as she poured in a game-high 29 points in a 72-42 rout of South Carolina State. Meyer went 11-for-15 from the field and 7-for-8 from the foul stripe en route to the first 20-plus point game of her career.
Meyer added nine rebounds, two assists and a steal against the Lady Bulldogs.
