SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota guard Treysen Eaglestaff garnered the first TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor of his career, League officials announced Monday. Eaglestaff averaged 17.0 ppg, 4.0 apg and 3.0 rpg in a trio of two-point victories over Division I foes for the Fighting Hawks.
Eaglestaff opened his week by dishing out a career-high six assists in UND’s 73-71 victory over Pacific – a team that beat the Fighting Hawks by 30 a season ago.
In a pair of wins at the Central Arkansas Classic, Eaglestaff averaged 22.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 3.0 apg as UND improved its winning streak to five straight – the program’s most since the 2016-17 season.
Eaglestaff scored a game-high 23 points and dished out five assists in the 71-69 overtime victory against New Orleans to open the event in Conway, Ark. He also went 4-for-10 from beyond the acr against the Privateers and his fifth assist set up the game-winning dunk from Elijah Brooks right before the buzzer of the five-minute extra session.
The Bismarck, N.D., native followed that up with 22 points and put UND ahead for good with a trio of free throws after being fouled on a 3-point attempt with 1:18 to play. Eaglestaff went 4-for-7 from deep against the Eagles.
