SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota forward B.J. Omot claimed the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor, League officials announced Wednesday. Omot scored 21 points, pulled down eight rebounds and added a
highlight-reel rejection in a game Nebraska rallied from a double-digit deficit to knock off the Fighting Hawks.
Omot scored 13 of his 21 points in the opening half as UND built a 42-32 lead on the Cornhuskers at halftime. The Mankato, Minn., native scored five points in his squad's 7-1 half-closing run to stake the Fighting Hawks to a double-digit lead.
Omot's 20-plus point scoring outing was his second consecutive and fifth of the season – a total that leads the Fighting Hawks and ranks second among Summit League players.
