USD's Larkins claims TicketSmarter #SummitWBB weekly accolade

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota junior Grace Larkins netted the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor, League officials announced Monday. The weekly accolade is the second of Larkins’ career.

Larkins opened the week by scoring a season-high 28 and posting her first double-double of the season in a home win over Missouri Valley preseason favorite Northern Iowa.
 
The Altoona, Iowa native added a game-high 11 rebounds against the Panthers and also dished out six assists in the 84-65 win that saw the Coyotes outscore UNI 27-10 in the third quarter.

In the 88-83 overtime win at LMU, Larkins scored 12 of her game-high 25 points in the final 10 minutes of regulation that saw the Coyotes erase an eight-point deficit to force the extra session. Larkins added five rebounds, three assists and a season-high five steals in the comeback-victory.
 
For the week, she averaged 26.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 4.5 apg and 3.0 spg, while shooting 64 percent from the field (18-for-28), 50 percent from 3-point range (4-for-8) and 76 percent from the foul stripe (13-for-17).
