SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Student-athletes from South Dakota State, Denver and Lindenwood were represented in this week’s Summit League TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors, League officials announced Tuesday.
 
SDSU’s Austin Smith grabbed his first Swimmer of the Week honor while teammate Elisabeth Timmer picked up her 10^th career Swimmer of the Week. For the diving honors, DU’s Zyad Morsy and Lindenwood’s Elle Christie garnered the Men’s and Women’s Peak Diver of the Week accolades, respectively.
 
Smith won the 100 IM in a school-record time and added a pair of third place finishes at the Coyote Invite at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls. The Woodlands, Texas native clocked a winning time of 50.53 to break his own school record in the 100 IM by 0.36 seconds. He placed third in both the 100 breaststroke (56.53) and 500 freestyle (4:44.47). Smith swam the leadoff leg of the Jackrabbits’ 400 Free Relay, which closed the meet by winning the event in a time of 3:05.90.
 
Timmer won three events and added a runner-up finish at the Coyote Invite. The Savaneta, Aruba native opened things up by claiming both the 200 IM (2:05.46) and 50 freestyle (23.31). Her winning time in the 200 IM was more than five seconds faster than her nearest competitor. The second day of action saw Timmer win the 100 IM (57.80) and placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.13).
 
Morsy had a historic week for the Pioneers as the sophomore diver recorded the second highest 3-meter dive in League history with a runner-up score of 398.15 at the Air Force Invite. The Cairo, Egypt native also set a school record on the platform dive with a 325.90 in the preliminary round, which was good enough for an NCAA Zone Cut score. Additionally, Morsy scored a 285.65 in the 1-meter dive.
 
Christie competed in the Omaha Diving Invite where she recorded a score of 278.25 in the 3-meter dive, taking home first place. The Ballwin, Mo., native also placed third in the 1-meter dive, earning a score of 233.00.
