SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha guard Grace Cave captured this week’s TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor, League officials released Monday. The sophomore averaged 14.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 3.5 apg and recorded five steals to help the Mavericks to a pair of road wins.
 
At St. Thomas, Cave led the Mavericks going 5-for-7 from the floor en route to 18 points. She went 3-for-3 from behind the three-point line against the Tommies and pulled down a team-best six rebounds, had three steals and dished out an assist to help Omaha erase a 13-point deficit at the half to win, 58-54.
 
In a 57-55 win over Western Illinois, Cave was one of three Mavericks to finish with a double-digit scoring effort. The Weeping Water, Neb., native achieved her 13^th game of the season in double-figures as she finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and a career-high-tying six assists.

With eight seconds left and the game tied at 55-55, Cave stole an inbounds pass and found teammate Aaliyah Stanley on a run out for the game-winning layup.
 
Cave also turned in an efficient shooting effort in the road victories, going 10-for-15 from the floor (67 percent) and 4-for-5 from the 3-point line (80 percent).
